TKDA’s Duluth staff keeps growing

DULUTH, Minnesota TKDA, an employee-owned provider of engineering, architecture and planning services, has added new staff members to handle expanded workload in its Northland office and across the company.

Christian Lawien, PE, has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Accounting, both from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He has more than four years of municipal engineering experience and has worked on multiple roadway, water, and sewer design projects in the Northland including projects in Wrenshall and Scanlon, both communities where TKDA provides city engineering services. He has also worked on roadway and parking lot projects at the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, and he is working on the Wisconsin Point dune restoration project in Superior. In addition, he has extensive experience with conducting traffic counts, developing traffic control plans, creating capital improvement plans, and the design and management of pavement systems.

Cody Neubarth, Graduate Engineer, has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, also from UMD. He has been supporting electrical engineering design for five years, working in the development of schematics and wiring diagrams as well as with fiber and copper network integration. His project work includes the new fire hall in the Town of Superior, infrastructure upgrade work for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority and equipment replacement projects in the northern Minnesota iron mining industry.
