Private equity powers 17 of 19 deals this week

A strong week for M&A, with 19 transactions announced across domestic and global markets. Sixteen were reported in the U.S., with the remaining three in Ireland and the UK. Private equity remained the defining force behind dealmaking this week, with 17 of the 19 announced transactions involving either financial sponsors or private equity-backed strategic buyers. That level of activity reflects the broader state of the market, where more than half of all industry transactions now involve PE-backed buyers, making sponsor capital one of the primary drivers of consolidation across the AE industry.
