Scott Cattran

President & Chief Executive Officer, Woolpert

Scott is Woolpert’s President and CEO, and he represents company shareholders as the Chairman of Woolpert’s Board of Directors. He is responsible for setting Woolpert’s vision and strategy, developing and strengthening a strong, trust-built culture, achieving the firm’s long-term strategic goals, and making Woolpert a Great Place to work for all employees. In 1999, Scott began his tenure at Woolpert as a geospatial project phase manager in the Dayton office. Over the next two decades, he helped grow the firm’s business from the Denver and Chesapeake offices before taking the reins as the firm’s chief operating officer in 2014. In 2016, Scott accepted the position of President and CEO and returned to Woolpert’s Dayton headquarters where he launched his career.

George E. Christodoulo

Partner, Lawson & Weitzen, LLP

George E. Christodoulo is a corporate lawyer who has spent over forty years in private practice. He has extensive experience in providing legal services to a/e/c firms on a national basis, with an emphasis on ownership transition, mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary duties of directors, professional licensure and termination of principals. He has completed over 200 transactions among AEC firms in the US and Canada, representing both buyers and sellers.

Jack P. Miller, P.E.

President, R.G. Miller Engineers

Jack Miller is the leader of R.G. Miller Engineers, Inc., a Houston-based civil engineering firm providing a wide range of infrastructure services to both public and private sector clients in Texas. On June 30 of this year, R.G. Miller announced its partnership with DCCM, a provider of design, consulting, and program and construction management professional services focusing on infrastructure marketplaces. DCCM is backed by White Wolf Capital, an investment firm based in Miami, FL. Jack has more than 35 years of professional civil engineering experience in planning and design, construction management, project management, coordination of master-planned land development projects, utility district projects, roadway facilities, public utilities and major capital improvement projects. Jack will continue to lead R.G. Miller as part of DCCM.

Mick Morrissey

For over twenty five years, Mick has been advising architecture, engineering, planning and environmental consulting firms. Prior to co-founding Morrissey Goodale LLC, Mick served as Director of Strategic Growth for PBS&J, one of the nation’s leading EA firms. For a decade before that he developed and led the premier management consulting business serving the AEP & Environmental Consulting industry. Mick speaks regularly on the topics of strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, organization structure and leadership development and transition.

Stafford Palmieri

Principal Advisor, Morrissey Goodale

Stafford specializes in market research, strategic planning and business development operations. She works with and advises architecture, engineering and construction firms on optimal market positioning, best practice executive-level strategic planning and sales/business development process optimization to improve ROI for non-billable time spent on these activities. Prior to working with Morrissey Goodale, Stafford led business development operations for the Americas Design Consulting Services (DCS) business of AECOM, a global Fortune 500 AEC firm.

Jonathan Parnell

Chief Strategy Officer, Atlas

Jonathan is responsible for M&A strategy and execution for Atlas, a leading provider of professional testing, inspection, environmental, engineering and consulting services with more than 100 offices in 40 states and 3,500+ employees. Prior to joining Atlas, Jonathan served as Director of M&A and Integration for ATC Group Services. Over his career, Jonathan has served in a number of roles including M&A, integration, finance, operations and sales—almost exclusively with engineering and consulting firms. Jonathan holds a BBA from Louisiana State University and a MBA from the University of Texas.

Dan Pollock CFA, CPA

Corporate Development/M&A Lead, SAM

Dan Pollock joined SAM in early 2018 to lead SAM’s corporate development and M&A operations. At SAM, Dan’s focus is on collaborating with executive members of management to develop and execute the firm’s corporate development strategy by identifying both organic and M&A growth opportunities. Dan joined SAM while completing his MBA at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin, where he concentrated in finance and strategy, graduating with honors. Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. John Fisher College. He is a CFA® charterholder and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas.

J.J. Roohms

President, CP&Y, Inc.

In September of this year, CP&Y announced its intention to join STV, a diversified professional services firm serving a range of markets across the country. Prior to announcing the transaction, James J. Roohms, also known as J.J., joined CP&Y in 1994 as a roadway engineer and quickly rose through the ranks to Production Manager in 1996 and later became the Dallas/Fort Worth Transportation Department Manager. He continued to play an integral role in the Transportation practice over the next several years. In 1999, he moved to Austin to help build the Transportation practice and became the youngest Principal in CP&Y’s history when he was promoted to Vice President and Director of the Austin office in 2005. Just over two years later, J.J. took the reins of the entire CP&Y Transportation practice. In his current role as President, J.J. provides oversight of the firm’s management decisions and growth plan.

Melvin G. Spinks, PE, CFM

President CivilTech, a Woolpert Company

Melvin Spinks is recognized nationally as a subject matter technical expert in hydrology and hydraulics, economics and risk analysis. He has managed multi-million-dollar projects with the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Water Development Board, Harris County Flood Control District, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Melvin has a Bachelor and Master Degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources Engineering) from Texas A&M University in 1985 and 1987, respectively. Melvin will share the story of how he and his team made the decision to sell CivilTech the firm he founded in 1997 to Woolpert last year.

David M. Sullivan, Jr., CPA

Partner, DGC (DiCicco, Gulman & Company LLP)

David is a partner in the firm’s commercial business group and has approximately 30 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to closely-held and family-owned businesses in a variety of industries. David co-leads DGC’s Architecture & Engineering practice and represents firms across the country. He and his team have advised on over 100 M&A transactions of AE & environmental consulting firms.

Kristi Tahmasiyan

Principal, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, Terracon

In her role as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Terracon (ENR #22) – one of the most prolific and successful acquirers in the industry– Kristi has led the successful integration of dozens of mergers and acquisitions. Kristi is an experienced and accomplished HR and paralegal professional with designations from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and HR Certification Institute. Terracon is a 100 percent employee-owned consulting engineering firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services with more than 4,000 employees and 140 offices nationwide.

Tricia Washington has over 25 years of experience as a market research & marketing communications professional working with hundreds of companies covering a broad spectrum of B2B professional service industries including AEC, leadership development, technology, management consulting, and financial services. Prior to joining Morrissey Goodale, Tricia worked as a consultant designing and executing marketing and business development solutions for AEC firms.
